This two-day seminar will cover the basics of accident scene investigations, including evaluating damage and debris, accident scene photography, principles of collision investigation math, chain of events, and investigator tools. There will be an outdoor exercise and participants are encouraged to bring a calculator.
This seminar is based off the week-long TSI Fundamentals of Bus Collision Investigations course. This course makes a good refresher or preview for students wishing to attend the TSI course at a later date.
Transit operations supervisors, road supervisors, or other transit employer representatives, who may be called to an accident scene.
Steve Strehle and Bruce Johnston are associate staff instructors with the Transportation Safety Institute, specializing in bus collision investigations.
